Artisan Markets

Churn Room Artisan Markets are for showcasing quality handcrafted boutique goods made locally, and gives a broader opportunity to further showcase our art community.  Our Artisan markets are particularly suitable to local artists and makers who look for market opportunities that attracts shoppers who appreciate unique and original products. 

The market will be held in the 'Back Room of The Churn Room in the old Dayboro Butter factory precinct on the following days: 

Christmas Market - Friday 24 -26 November 2023

Winter Artisan Market - Friday 26 - 28 July 2024

How to secure a stall

This market is limited to no more than 15 stall holders, and application to showcase local makers are a priority. 

 

Quality of goods is monitored and assessed for fit, for the good of all stall holders.  All items must be hand made.   


Promotion of the event:

  • Newsletter data base

  • Social media community pages and other art group community pages 

  • Weekend Notes Listing

  • Must Do Brisbane package

  • Good old fashioned word of mouth

  • Counter Flyers - available for stall holders to distribute 

Hours of operation: 

Market open hours will be Friday 4pm - 7pm; Saturday 10am - 7pm and Sunday 10am - 1pm

Set up access is available Friday morning from 10am

Pack down -  Sunday afternoon after 1pm (not earlier) and preferably completed by 4pm. 

Stall site sizes:

  • 9 stalls at 2.5m x1.5m;  

  • 4 stalls at 2.5m x2m;

  • 2 stalls at 1.5m x1.5m

A floor plan will be sent once all stall holders are confirmed. 

Bump in and out:

  • Access is via the side driveway

  • Time will be allocated on confirmation of your booking. 

Displays:  

It is preferred that your stall display fit with the aesthetics of the Back Room space, industrial shed meet vintage rustic elegance.  Plastic trestle tables will not be welcome.  Should you need assistance please request a stall set up consultation well prior to the event.  Background display stands to hang products and stall signage are available.

Venue Specifics:

The venue is secured overnight and is indoors and undercover.  There is no air-conditioning.

Costs:

Stall holder fees for the whole event is a flat rate of $200, payable on application acceptance andbooking confirmation

Cancellation Policy:  Should you need to cancel your stall booking within 14 days prior to an event, no refund or credits will be given. If a stallholder provides more than 14 days notice, a 50% credit can be offered.  If a stallholder cancels on the day or for weather concerns  there will be no credits or refunds issued. 

Insurance: 

A certificate of policy for market insurance, including public liability is required. 

 

In the incident of any damages incurred to our property during the market the stall holder will be responsible for the cost of repairs and invoiced accordingly.
