Exhibition Submission - Terms and Conditions
Thank you for your interest in submitting your artworks for consideration in our art exhibition. Before proceeding with your submission, please review the following terms and conditions:

Please carefully read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions before participating in this call-out. If there are any concerns or uncertainties, please contact The Churn Room for clarification.
ELIGIBILITY
Encounters exhibition is open to artists 18 years and over
SELECTION OF ARTWORKS
Artwork submission must use the online form and include relevant details as requested.
Artworks will be selected by The Churn Room based upon suitability of the work and adherence to the theme
Up to 85 artworks will be selected for inclusion
Artists will be notified of selection by email
Upon selection confirmation, payment for entry or entries will be required
MEDIUM
2D, 3D artworks in variety of media are welcome - excluding jewellery and glass work
Note: The exhibition space is not climate controlled and may not be suitable to delicate works affected by humidity or heat. Artists should protect their works with appropriate framing or other protections as necessary. The Churn Room does not take responsibility for work that is damaged while on display when the necessary precautions have not been taken into consideration.
CRITERIA AND SIZING
Artworks must be the original of submitting artist
Artworks must be available for sale
Artworks may be framed or unframed
Artworks must be presented in a condition appropriate for sale
Artworks must be no larger than 600mm wide, including framing
KEY DATES
Entries close: 10th August - Submit images by email
Notifications of acceptance: by 15th August
Works delivered in person - 20/21 August
Exhibition opening: Friday 25 August
Exhibition closing: Sunday 24 September
Unsold Works collected by Saturday 30 September
Opening Event: Event 26th August
COSTS
$35/piece (NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE)
35% commission on sale
UP TO THREE PIECES MAY BE ENTERED
PAYMENT IS REQUIRED UPON SELECTION
ARTWORK DELIVERY & COLLECTION
Drop off in Person Only:
- Sunday 20th August, 8am - 10:30am; Monday 21st August 8am - 12pm
Pick up in of any unsold works in person Only:
- by Saturday 30th September
COPYRIGHT AND PHOTOGRAPHY PERMISSIONS
Artwork must be original and not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights of others.
The Churn Room will request permission from the Artist to reproduce the work for promotional purposes only
PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION
The exhibition artwork and artists will be promoted, through social media, press releases, in store promotions, other media where available.
LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION
Artists are responsible for their submissions and The Churn Room is not liable for any damages or legal claims related to the artwork.
DISQUALIFICATION
Art work that is identified as plagiarism, violating the rules, or inappropriate content will be disqualified.
MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION
The Churn Room reserves the right to modify the call-out terms or cancel the call-out at any time.
ARTWORK CONDITION
Artworks must be in saleable condition and ready for display. Any damaged or incomplete artworks will not be considered for the exhibition.
CURATION: The Churn Room reserves the right to determine the positioning and display of selected artworks within the exhibition space. Artists can request any specific display requirements.
