Galina Ramensky-Manoiloff

My name is Galina Ramensky-Manoiloff, and I am an enamellist and jewellery artist with over 20 years of experience specialising in traditional cloisonné and champlevé enamelling techniques.
My work is inspired by storytelling, symbolism, and the beauty of old-world craftsmanship. I am drawn to creating pieces that feel personal, expressive, and timeless — modern heirlooms that carry a sense of individuality and connection.
Over the years I have continued to develop my enamelling practice through workshops and study both within Australia and internationally, including time spent in Japan exploring traditional enamelling techniques and craftsmanship. I am fascinated by the relationship between metal, glass, colour, and fire, and the way enamel allows stories and emotion to be captured in miniature form.
Each piece is handcrafted slowly and intentionally, embracing the individuality and character that comes from true handcraftsmanship.
What makes my products special
My enamel jewellery and art pieces are handcrafted using traditional vitreous enamelling techniques, where finely ground glass is carefully fused to metal through multiple kiln firings at high temperatures.
I primarily work with gold, fine silver, copper, and vitreous enamel, using cloisonné and champlevé techniques to create richly layered surfaces, colour, and detail. Much of my inspiration comes from symbolism, memory, nature, and traditional decorative arts.
Because each piece is individually handmade, no two works are ever exactly alike. The subtle variations in colour, texture, and finish are part of what makes enamel such a unique and expressive medium.
Creating in small batches and focusing on slow craftsmanship is an important part of my practice. I value the longevity, individuality, and heirloom quality of handmade work over mass production.
