Collage (derived from the French term “collér” - to glue) is a form of visual art created by assembling different materialsand attaching them to a surface to form a new image or composition.
As an artform, collage may seem a simple matter of cutting out and pasting down... when explored, one discovers a world that traverses various movements including Dada, Surrealism, Pop Art, and Neo-Dada and has been explored by many contemporary artists including Picasso, Henri Matisse, Man Ray, David Hockney, and Martha Rosler.

In conjunction with activities for World Collage Day, Cut & Paste is an opportunity to discover the diversity and depth of the works submitted by talented collage artists.
