Details

This 5-hour Collage workshop is suitable for beginners.

Join John Massy to explore surrealist collage art inspired by artists such as Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte.

Participants should bring magazines and other expendable paper matter that they find interesting.

Particularly appropriate for this workshop are publications that show the whole human figure - fashion or sporting magazines; natural science or wildlife magazines; gardening magazines; travel magazines and junk mail.

Some finely detailed cutting will be involved so good hand motor skills will be needed. If you have a particular cutting instrument you find most comfortable, please feel free to bring it with you (not mandatory).

All other tools and materials will be provided.

Note: there will be a short lunch break during this workshop. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch, or can purchase food from Silverwood Cafe (next door to The Churn Room).
