About Peta Turner
Peta Turner is a Brisbane-based Australian artist and certified Cindy Wider Method instructor.
She holds a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Teaching, and Master of Special Education, and has always enjoyed creative pursuits.
She discovered drawing during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns, and what initially began as a way to pass the time, quickly became a deep passion and her main creative outlet. Working primarily in coloured pencil, graphite, Derwent Inktense, PanPastel, and pastel pencil, Peta creates realistic artworks inspired by nature, family, and the nativity.
Combining her teaching background with her art practice, she enjoys helping others build confidence and develop their drawing skills through gentle, structured, step-by-step instruction for beginners and developing artists alike.
Notes for Workshop Participants
Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop start time to get settled in our Workshop Area
Workshops are held in the Mezzanine, located upstairs within The Churn Room
Street parking is available on Williams Street
Workshop participants must wear closed in shoes and have long hair tied back.
We suggest wearing comfortable, breathable clothes suitable for warm weather conditions - we have fans, but our building is not air-conditioned
Access to the Mezzanine may be difficult for persons with significant mobility issues. It is not wheelchair accessible. Please consider this prior to booking.
