This 5-hour eco-dyeing workshop is suitable for beginners.
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, share, and connect—through hand stitching, mindful making, and discovering the quiet beauty in imperfections.
Hi, I’m Wendi from Ecowott Nature’s Imprint. The “eco” reflects the environmental heart of my practice, while “wott” comes from Wendi of the Treasure—a childhood name that has stayed with me.
Together we’ll explore the alchemy of the dye pot, where humble gifts from nature—onion skins, flowers, leaves, bark, and even everyday kitchen scraps—transform into magical marks. You’ll create your own concertina book filled with nature’s imprints. Stitch into the pages, leave your own marks, or fashion a pocket or two for gathered treasures. Then, guided step by step, I’ll show you how to eco-dye the concertina book with vegetation and let the simmering pot reveal its secrets.
Come ready to play, to notice, and to let nature write its story on your cloth and paper.
All tools and materials are included.
